Lifelong Cyclist and Randonneuring Legend

Mike’s cycling life started early—at 15 he was already racing as a junior on the U.S. circuit. He continued competing at the collegiate level with Arizona State University in the ACCC, then shifted to mountain biking where he progressed to Category 2. In the mid-2000s he moved to South Korea, racing the road as a sponsored rider before finding his true passion in randonneuring—the pure, unfiltered ultra-endurance discipline that demands everything from rider and machine across hundreds of unforgiving kilometers.

He’s a three-time finisher of Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP), the world’s oldest and most legendary 1,200 km brevet, and has also conquered London-Edinburgh-London (LEL).

Those experiences forged a simple but hard-earned philosophy: every bike and every part has to work perfectly on a mellow Sunday ride and still hold up under the brutal reality of 600+ km brevets, sleepless nights, and the merciless climbs of Korea’s mountains. No excuses, no shortcuts—just proven performance when it matters most.

Mike's Philosophy 

A certified UCI Mechanic Instructor and Master Mechanic, Mike has taught courses around the world and will enthusiastically tell anyone who listens that Korea’s cycling scene is currently one of the most vibrant and exciting on the planet.

Ask him what he rides and he’ll just laugh—his “main bike” changes constantly. He deliberately rotates through different machines, putting them through every kind of punishment (mountain brevets, rainy Korean winters, 1,200 km non-stop epics) so he knows exactly how they behave in the real world. His rule is simple and non-negotiable: he won’t sell a bike he wouldn’t trust with his own miles. If it hasn’t proven itself under his legs that have finished three PBPs and an LEL, it doesn’t make it into a customer’s hands.
